After nearly three decades inside underwriting, executive leadership, and catastrophe-pool design, he is running because the people writing California's policies have stopped showing up for Californians. His flagship policy framework, the California Catastrophe Reinsurance Partnership, takes wildfire tail risk off insurers' books and brings private capacity back to the market. The campaign refuses contributions from insurance companies and industry executives. The primary is June 2, 2026.
