Who we are

This site is operated by Sean Lee for Insurance Commissioner 2026 (FPPC Committee #1489551). The committee mailing address is 300 Spectrum Center Drive, Irvine, CA 92618. Inquiries: DrLee@SeanLee4California.com.

What information we collect

  • Contact information you provide. Name, email, phone, ZIP code, and any free-text messages you send through volunteer, contact, or subscription forms.
  • Donation information. Processed by our payment partner Anedot. Includes name, mailing address, occupation, and employer (the latter two are required by California law for contributions of $100 or more).
  • Analytics. Aggregated, pseudonymous traffic data through Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel, and TikTok Pixel. Disabled until you accept the cookie banner.
  • Server logs. Standard request logs (IP address, user agent, referrer, timestamp) retained for security and abuse prevention.

How we use it

  • To coordinate volunteer activity and respond to your inquiries.
  • To send periodic campaign updates (unsubscribe any time, link in every email).
  • To meet California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) reporting obligations for contributions.
  • To measure aggregate site performance and the effectiveness of our outreach.

What we never do

  • Sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
  • Share your contact information with the insurance industry or any business that lobbies the Department of Insurance.
  • Use your data to train commercial AI products.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access or deletion, to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell), and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. Send requests to DrLee@SeanLee4California.com with subject line "CCPA request." We respond within 45 days.

Cookies and tracking

We use the following categories of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary (always on): session cookies for form submission and CSRF protection.
  • Analytics (off by default): Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic patterns.
  • Marketing (off by default): Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel for ad measurement and audience building.

Manage your preferences by clicking "Cookie preferences" in the footer. Browser-level Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals are honored automatically.

Third parties

Data retention

Volunteer and contact records are retained for the duration of the campaign and for the post-election period required by California state law (currently four years). Donation records are retained for ten years per FPPC requirements. Analytics data is aggregated and pseudonymous; we do not maintain identifiable individual analytics records.

Security

We use TLS (HTTPS) site-wide, modern password hashing, and access controls limiting personal data to authorized campaign staff. No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your information may have been compromised, contact us immediately.

Terms of use

By using this site you agree not to: attempt to access non-public areas, scrape or harvest data, impersonate any person or campaign, transmit malicious code, or use the site to interfere with the campaign or violate any applicable law. We may suspend access without notice for violations. The site is provided "as is" without warranty. Our maximum liability is limited to the contribution amount, if any, you have made to the campaign.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
